Another Strong Week for Potato ServerHey everyone,
It’s been really awesome seeing the player count continue to rise across Potato Server. We’ve been seeing more activity across the board, and it’s clear that the community keeps growing week after week — so first off, thank you.
Our most popular series right now is Call of Duty, but that’s definitely not all people have been enjoying. We’re also seeing great activity on titles like:
- Killing Floor 2
- V Rising
- Enshrouded
- Left 4 Dead
- Left 4 Dead 2
- and plenty more
The momentum has been great to see, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
About the Recent OutagesWe also want to take a moment to apologize for the outages within the last 24 hours.
To be fully transparent, we were demoing our AI server for a new project and needed to temporarily borrow memory from our game server environment in order to test a few theories and get some answers quickly. Normally, I’d prefer to formally announce downtime ahead of time, but this situation was a bit more out-of-the-blue and turned into more of an emergency-type test than something we had planned in advance.
Thankfully, that testing is now behind us.
All borrowed memory has been restored, everything has been put back as it was, and all systems should be back to normal moving forward with no more outages expected related to this.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Mod Downloader Program: Now AvailableAs mentioned in our last forum announcement, we had completed a web-based version of our mod downloader system.
Now, we’re happy to say we’ve taken it a step further:
The Windows version of our mod downloader program is now complete and available for download.
This tool is being made available for our VIP users, supporters, and valued community members, and is designed to make getting supported game clients up and running much easier — especially for games that require a bit more setup, mods, or extra files.
Our most popular game series is already supported and available to download for eligible community members, and we plan to keep improving the tool over time.
The goal is simple: make setup easier, faster, and more convenient for the people who support Potato Server.

These stats are live, so if you’re ever wondering what’s active before hopping in, that page is the best place to check.
Looking AheadGoing forward, we may begin making room for newer and more in-demand titles.
That could mean that some older servers may occasionally be shut down temporarily — not permanently — simply to free up room for games that are currently seeing more interest from the community.
We want to keep Potato Server fresh, active, and focused on what players are actually looking for, while still keeping the door open for older favorites to return as needed.
